九山顶自然风景区，位于天津市蓟县最北部的塞外深山，是国家级地质自然保护区 ——中上元古界标准地层最有代表性的山体，又是蓟县国家地质公园典型的石英砂岩峰林地貌，森林植被茂密，空气清新洁净，犹如一块绿色的翡翠和天然大氧巴。九山顶主峰海拔 1078.5 米 ，是天津市最高峰。景区集奇峰、幽林、峡谷、怪洞及战国古长城、抗日战争旧址于一体，是人们进行生态旅游、民俗旅游、红色旅游、地质科普旅游的理想境地。 　　清顺治皇帝赐名"九山顶"并御封此为清东陵太祖山。是人们回归自然、寻奇探幽的理想场所。游客在这里可以采野花、摘山果、睡土炕、和野生动物交朋友，体味山野情趣。" JIU SHAN DING SCENIC ZONE The standard stratum section of Middle and Upper Proterozoic which is situated in the deep northern mountains of Jixian County was formed from 1800 to 800 Ma B.P. and is famous for its complete rock stratum, continuous exposure, distinct formations, less erosion, and plentiful paleontological fossils. It has attracted more and more geologists from home and abroad to inspect. It is the first state-rand geological natural protected area in China. This is also an ideal place for you to exerience the feeling of returning nature. You can pick wild flowers and fruits, and experience the true life of the mountain villagers. On top of Jiu Shan Ding, you can feel that all other mountains are under your feet.
